It is said by many people that soundbars are mainly used for decorative purposes, but that doesn't mean that the soundbar shouldn't be of high quality, on the contrary, it should have high sound quality to bring you a pleasant listening experience, especially if they are an important part of your musical theater.
Bose as a company undoubtedly offers its customers high quality products, which has helped them climb the ladder of success much faster than the other companies. However, as times change and technology advances, Bose, like any other company, has created better and newer products that eclipse products that have been made before. For this reason, a comparison between these products is urgently needed.
In this article, I'm going to do just that and compare the Bose Soundbar 700 that launched in 2018 and the other Bose Soundbar 900 that launched just last year. So let's get started and highlight the differences between these two products.
table of contents
Bose Smart Soundbar 700 Vs Bose Smart Soundbar 900
Below I will explain step by step what distinguishes these two smart speakers from Bose from the same range.
Where do they differ:sound quality
Not every time the newer product takes over the older ones might be old, but you know how the saying goes, old but gold! However, this is an exception in this case, because in terms of sound quality, the Bose 900 leaves the Bose 700 behind. The surround sound of Bose 900 is much better than Bose 700. The sound quality of these two products is mainly and strongly connected with the Dolby Atmos function, and considering that Bose 900 overrides this function, as you can see in the In the comparison table that I present to you at the end of this article, Bose 900 shines brighter than Bose 700 when it comes to audio quality.
Bose 900 is able to create an immersive and impactful soundscape around the listener and this is possible thanks to the number of channels which for Bose 900 is 5.1.2 while Bose 700 is 2.0. When using the Bose 900, the audio comes from a general range rather than being specific and that's because the Bose 900's instruments and dialogue are well represented, but so is the Bose 700. Both have a neutral and balanced feel sound in itself.
When it comes to the audio and sound quality of these two soundbars, it's important to note that tweaking the settings is a must to boost the low-end, which means you're not getting the best audio out of the box with these So, models you need to arrange and repair yourself, and that is why at the bottom of this article you will find a paragraph about the remote control of these two soundbars.
Preis
If you're a person who has been using the Bose Smart Soundbar 700 for a while, at some point you jumped to the Bose Smart Soundbar 900 thinking that the price of the Bose 700 will automatically go down because it's now a much more innovative product than the other There First, you were wrong, the price of Bose 700 has not changed, although a newer product has been released. However, we cannot say that the price difference of these two products is very obvious. Bose 900 is obviously more expensive but if you are thinking of buying Bose 700 remember that you can get Bose 900 just by adding a small amount of money to the price.
Design
First off I have to say that both the Bose 700 and Bose 900 are great looking soundbars. There is one key difference you need to know here and nothing more. Depending on your own taste, you will choose which soundbar has the better design. The only difference is an all-glass panel or the additional metal grilles on top for the upward-firing speaker. So on the Bose 700 you get the full glass top and on the Bose 900 you get the extra metal grilles on top. They both look amazing so like I said it's up to you which one you go for as it depends on your tastes.
remote control
As promised above, here comes a whole paragraph about the remote control of these two soundbars. What's a shame here is the fact that if you're used to the Bose 700 remote and then decide to jump to the Bose 900, you won't be able to use the same remote. When it comes to the remote I believe the Bose 700 has the upper hand and that's because the Bose 700 remote is a lot easier to use and a lot simpler giving you all the control over your soundbar that you need.
But when it comes to the Bose 900 remote, you might be a bit disappointed, and that's because the Bose 900 remote is a lot smaller and looks a lot cheaper. And for the record, the Bose 900 remote doesn't give you full control of your soundbar, so you have to use the Bose Music app, and that's an extra thing. So I think we can say that the winner of the remote control function is Bose 700. The Bose Music app is available for both Android and iOS.

last words
One thing is for sure, whichever soundbar you choose to enhance your home theater, you won't go wrong. Both soundbars have quirks and things that set them apart. If I were you I would go for Bose 900 but remember that if you follow my suggestion you will have to deal with the remote control but then the decision is still yours.
